Re: Memory Lane

That was me, Fiv_oh_po_po (Ron) and Pass (Max). I remember working on the bike on your deck and trying to be careful not to get any oil on it. Another group from here doing Rolling Thunder stopped by as well and we had lunch at Mollies. Best onion rings EVER!

Re: Memory Lane

Is that the one we did? All the haters said that it couldn't/shouldn't be done this way. My brother now rides my old C50 that I did the same to. Many thousands of miles since and still going strong.

Re: Bikerpop.....

Smitty was a kind spirit. I never heard a negative thing come out of his mouth. He was a good listener as well. He never seemed disinterested in anything you had to tell him. I loved the little quips he had about his goats. He showed up to one of the RNR's with his dhillis "DJ" drive modde...

It goes to show that even the most seasoned among us are vulnerable. Always be on the lookout and never trust that other drivers will do what you expect. RIP Jeff.. Enjoy those roads paved in gold.

Re: No Start

Rock on! Mine has been sitting collecting dust since I gave it to my son. I honestly thought he was going to ride it, but I guess he just doesn't have the bug. Glad you got you knees back in the breeze!

Doing some clean-up and maintenance

Well folks, seems the VOL has fallen into disrepair lately. We've had fewer and fewer visitors and I've not been keeping up with it. A couple of days ago I decided to do some upgrades to bring the board software up to date. So far so good. I hope to have the gallery back soon as well as a nice front...

Re: Pair valve .... ok, I hate to ask .. but

In a feat of over-engineering akin to pushing in a thumbtack with a sledgehammer.. I removed a PAIR valve in grande fashion once. Some friends and I were replacing the motor in a bike, so we had full access to everything. I removed the pipes leading to the exhaust inlet (coming from the PAIR valve),...

Re: rejetting & mechanics who don't listen.

It can be difficult to find a competent mechanic. Worse is to find one that thinks he's competent but isn't. Glad the files are still here to help.
