Anybody ever try JR Alternatives? I bought a couple of boxes and they are not bad at all and the price is right. I got LaGloria Cubana Wavell that I thought were excellent and a box of JR Alt CAO Gold Robusto which were pretty good also. Maybe I am just not able to discern the subtlties between a really good(expensive) cigar and a reasonable priced one......maybe I'm lucky that way!

i buy the jr alternatives all the time.... i buy the GURKHA MASTER SELECT CHURCHILL NO. 5 and the ROCKY PATEL EDGE TORPEDO ...both are very strong, flavorful cigars.... they are not clones of the cigars , but alternatives to the cigars..... and pretty good cigars in their own right....

i also buy the maria mancini magic mountains and clemenceau from jr

i keep a bundle of conseguras around for when i wanna smoke that i will not mind mistreating or putting out... like when i am working on the bike.....

huge jr fan

Yeah, as a matter of fact I bought another box once the first was gone, that was probably 10 years ago, I have two left from that box. I don't see me buying more, just as my tastes have changed, but I will enjoy the last two.
