Hooray For Missing Pieces Of Curb

Postby BottleCap » August 9th, 2012, 8:53 pm

So I decide to be a dumbass and goose it around an S curve on a busted piece of road. Slid through some gravel and if not for a missing piece of curb, I'd be in the rider down section. And I mean just barely big enough for the bike to pass through too.

Then, on the ride home, pass a car doing 50 on of 60 mph stretch and nearly got sandwiched by a pickup who decided he'd like to be in the same lane, at the same time. Pinballed off the jersey barrier a little, but kept it up.

Looking for a sale on underwear this weekend. :o

I feel you on this kinda stuff. Nothing like a close call to reevaluate your priorities. I always get the shakes whenever I narrowly escape...

Sometimes I think curbs and gravel are the bane of our existence. Glad to hear that it didn't end poorly.
