When Motojournalists Die

Posted on April 15, 2014 by Ken Condon ↓

RIP, Jeff

I’m saddened once again at the news that a fellow motorcycle journalist has died while riding his bike. Last week, I learned of the death of Backroads Magazine contributor, Jeff Bahr. Jeff collided with a Cadillac driven by an 86 year old man who pulled out from a shopping center in front of his Triumph Explorer.

Damn cagers. It's a wonder any of us are still alive. Every once in a while I get to ride all day without someone trying to run me over.

It goes to show that even the most seasoned among us are vulnerable. Always be on the lookout and never trust that other drivers will do what you expect. RIP Jeff.. Enjoy those roads paved in gold.
