Y was surely a force of nature that few have seen first hand. :o He was the only Ural owner I've ever heard of.

annieh, haven't seen him there in well over a year. I think he's still upset an independant was not voted POTUS. ;)

Dennis may not look old, but he's been known to miss a turn or two!

I have the swamp tour badge to prove it!

OMG! You are WAY off topic! Good thing you have that badge cause we ain't doin it again. Least I ain't!

I sure would. Best time I ever had with a bunch of bikers. The only part I would change is the part where shady and dakota got bit by a couple of NC deputy dogs. That was just wrong.

AMEN! I bought a DOT helmet just to wear when I go to NC, by the way, I hate that fu$^ing state. Me and the law don't get along there.
If there were no helmet law, I would not wear one, period. It should be by choice.

On a side note, this site has turned into a bunch of pansies........where's the arguing and calling out.........

What a timely bill given the conversation. Evidently the current administration and Secretary LaHood pushed and funded a program to set up motorcycle only check-points to monitor helmet use and motorcycle safety inspections. They are also pushing for a federal helmet law.

Reps Petri and Ryan introduced a bill a couple days ago to eliminate this program.

Why is it that the only 'choice' these people believe in is when it comes to women's reproductive rights?

Yeah, it really surprised me that FL repealed the helmet law... I truly never expected it to happen. I love to ride without, but to appease the wife, most times here I wear one, if only a skull cap. Full face=can't hear stereo.

NC on the other hand, what a f#$%ed up backa$$ state that is! No offense to any from there, those on here have heard me rant about this state government before. I have NEVER been in a place that nickles and dimes you TO DEATH!!! And that is ALL it is about. They could truly care less about helmets, they see dollar signs for infractions and sales taxes for selling helmets.

Don't even get me started on their taxes. Their policies are borderline fascism!

Rant over.

Does that mean http://www.iihs.org/laws/helmetusecurrent.aspx#2 is out of date?
When did this happen? It was that you needed to show proof of medical insurance then you could.

I was there and have pictures to prove it! That was a great day along with a spectacular ride though.
