looking for ride suggestions

Postby Dingo » May 27th, 2010, 11:17 am

In RI area for this weekend 5/29/2010. My son may be in so we'll be going somewhere maybe Saturday and or Sunday. The Bean is one - but being new to this myself I really don;t have any other ideas...

Maybe if I wasn't sitting at my desk here in work I could come up with something...

I don't know anything about RI, but if you google "motorcycle ride planner in rhode island" you'll get several websites to check out some rides.

It's not the destination, it's the journey.

I say, ride on down to Western North Carolina and I will hook you up! Just kidding, good luck. You might try googling biker friendly establishments in the area, and they might have ride suggestions.

^^^^^^^ Having done it that would be my VERY 1st choice!!!!

Maybe loop the Quabbin
Basically 122 to 140 to 62 to 32/122 to 202 to 9 stop in the Quabbin for some site seeing 9 to 56 or Woosta and what ever way you want home from there
Also 32a down the east side of the Quabbin is a nice road too......

In Mass....

There are a couple of nice roads between Worcester to Amherst, hwy 9.

take route 5 to Greenfield and then take 202 over to Leominster and then 190 back to Worcster.

heck they even have a sky diving place by Orange, MA. Named Jump town, don't even need a reservation.

total ride time, 3-4 hours, or you can streach it out all day with little stops.

Went toVermont via 146 - 122- 78 and a few others... followed my son. Awesome ride. Did Rt. 9 on Saturday and then some covered bridges on Rt. 30 on Sunday. Had a blast
