Remove right side cover panel. Image
Remove exhaust.
Remove 2 screws to take of water tube. Image
Remove 2 screws from starter cover. Image
Remove 3 screws from the water holder to the head. Image
Remove hot wire from battery.
Remove 2 screws from top of starter. Image
Take screw driver from the left side of engine and gently pry starter loose end pull out.

You will have to pull of the tank when putting it back together to add radiator fluid.

Hope this helps someone.

Nice write-up, thanks! Mind if I move this to the Library?

Thanks for this. Don't have to replace a starter right now, but it will be nice to have in library if it does come up.
